How ReactBook handles information submitted through the site.

Last updated July 14, 2026

Information you provide

If you create an account, ReactBook stores your email address, account record, access rights, and purchase attachment history. If you join release emails, ReactBook receives your email address and source information attached to the form. Support messages contain the information you choose to send.

Site analytics

The site may record page views, navigation events, approximate device data, and referral information. Analytics configuration is disabled when the required site identifiers are absent.

How information is used

  • Authenticate your account and attach purchased access.
  • Fulfill purchases and provide billing or access support.
  • Send requested release emails.
  • Find broken pages and improve the reading experience.
  • Rate limit requests and prevent abuse.

Payments

Polar acts as merchant of record and processes checkout, payment information, taxes, receipts, chargebacks, and legally required reversals. ReactBook receives order, product, customer, subscription, and license details needed for fulfillment. ReactBook does not store card details.

Cookies and service providers

An HTTP-only PocketBase session cookie keeps you signed in. ReactBook uses Polar for purchases, PocketBase for accounts and access records, hosting infrastructure, optional self-hosted Rybbit analytics, and email delivery services.

Webhook and purchase retention

Owner-visible purchase rows contain receipt metadata rather than full Polar payloads. Actionable webhook payloads are retained only until processing and for no more than 30 days. Completed or dead queue metadata is retained for up to 90 days. Redacted failure snapshots are retained for up to 30 days. Accounting, entitlement, and legally required transaction records may be retained longer.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from release emails using the link in an email. You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability where local law provides those rights by writing to support@thereactbook.com. Payment records controlled by Polar may require a separate request to Polar.

Security and international processing

ReactBook uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee perfect security. Providers may process data in countries other than yours as part of hosting, checkout, email, analytics, and support.
